    When you buy real estate you buy the land only.  However, if anything is permanently attached to the land it is regarded as being part of the land.  This is why the house does not have to be mentioned in the contract.  On the other hand, if you were buying land which includes a caravan (i.e. which is not attached to the land), the vendor would be entitled to remove it.
