    Probably not, unless the contract contains conditions allowing for compensation.  Perhaps your only real option would be to end the contract, but if you want to proceed with the purchase this is not much of an option at all.  Have a talk to your lawyer and see if the circumstances of the sale or the contract allow you to claim compensation.  You may find that your lawyer can negotiate compensation under threat of your ending the contract.  Claiming compensation after settlement is possible, but you risk throwing good money after bad, and the cost of taking legal action can be prohibitive.

    In any case, follow the advice of your lawyer.
